Frequently Asked Questions About Property Taxes and Utility Bills

When are Property Tax Notices sent out? When are they due? What is the penalty for non-payment? Chauvin property taxes will be mailed out to all residential and commercial businesses on May 12, 2025. For those that are not on the monthly tax program, your total property taxes will be due on or before August 21, 2025. Any 2025 property taxes not paid after August 21, 2025 will receive a 10% penalty. Any unpaid taxes left at the end of the calendar year will receive a 18% penalty.
